The February Monthly Insert

Every so often, something turns up that stops us mid-sort.
This month, it was a misaligned PCS 7088 pressing of Abbey Road by The Beatles, a small production quirk that turns a familiar record into something quietly special. Not flashy, not gimmicky, just one of those pieces collectors recognise immediately.
This copy has been included as this month’s special insert, placed inside one randomly selected Collectors Cut box to be dispatched in February.

Collectors Cut is built around curated vinyl, the albums, the sequencing, the listening experience. But the hunt has always been part of record collecting, so each month we quietly place one additional record into a single box as a bonus feature.
It’s not a prize, and it’s not guaranteed. Every box stands on its own. The insert is simply a nod to the thrill of discovery that made us fall in love with records in the first place.
Few albums are as instantly recognisable, but what makes thi
s copy interesting isn’t the title, it’s the detail. Slight sleeve misalignment, correct matrix, strong EX/EX condition. A pressing variation that sits right
at that intersection of everyday listening copy and collector curiosity.
Exactly the sort of record we like to see out in the wild.
The insert will head out with this month’s dispatches, but the idea stays. Each month brings a different find, chosen not for hype, but for character. Because collecting isn’t just about value, it’s about the stories hidden in the shelves.
